Andrew Eyer was a student at the Normal School in the 1870s.  The sketchbook was donated by his daughter Miss Grace D. Eyer (Class of 1901).

Signature inside front cover: "Ira Wentzel." Written on card attached inside front cover: "This collection is the work of Ira Wentzel of the Class of 1874. It was presented to the College May 25, 1957 by his daughter Mrs. Bertha Wentzel Wright, a loyal and devoted alumna of Millersville State Teachers College."

Inside front cover is signature: "I. Reimel."

Printed on front cover: "Cash Book. Penn'a State Normal School, Millersville, Pa." Written on front cover: "Henry F.C. Heagey." Inside is a newspaper clipping of a poem by Mrs. N. Shields Witheron, entitled "Memory" and dated Nov. 1866.

Written on flyleaf: "W.B.B. W.B. Bishop, Strasburg, Lan. Co. Pa." Written on flyleaf verso: "William B. Bishop, Millersville, Lancaster Co. Pennsylvania, State Normal School."

Includes handwritten essay dated21 November 1887.  Written on cover: "Adda Shaddinger, Point Pleasant School"

Written inside book: "Frank Still's Information Book. Millersville State Normal School. Nov. 17, 1875." Inside is a handwritten book that states: "Mr. Still, Please let the boys come home at three ocolock. M.F. Lilley."

Written on inside cover: "Susan A. Moll, Philada. January 5, 1858 4th Division, January 29, 1858 3rd Division, March 19, 1858 2nd Division."

Printed on cover: "Bill Book. Penn'a State Normal School, Millersville, Pa." Written on cover" Henry F.C. Heagy."  Written inside: "Bill Book. No. 2 Henry F.C. Heagy, Table Rock, Pa. Feb. 1, 1879."
